Stick to the Plan: The Real Key to Consistency
In life, things rarely go according to plan.
Whenever you want to do something, life finds a reason to stop you. Sometimes the reason is small, sometimes it’s big. Even when something is a priority, you’ll find there’s no time for it.
To get what you actually want done, you’ll have to say no—a lot. No to parties, no to family plans, no to friends, no to fun stuff. You’ll end up doing boring work at home that sucks in the moment.
It’s easy to think, I’ll do this now and come back to that later. But “later” rarely comes. It kills progress, delays momentum, and before you know it, a year passes with nothing to show.
The only way to stay consistent is to stick to the plan and say no to everything else.
You’ll still fall short of some goals. You’ll still need to adjust the plan sometimes. But consistency always comes down to this: saying no more often than you’d like.
